Updates on Alex Nackman’s UK website entice fans with the exciting news of a new album release after a two year hiatus; “Brand new album, THIS REVOLUTION, has been completed and will be released JANUARY 25, 2011 everywhere”. It’s an exciting new sound for Alex and is well worth noting down the date in the diary as it promises to erm revolutionise your new years celebrations or at least offer you one resolution you can keep; buy This Revolution.

Given the strength of previous releases and airplay on BBC Radio 2, you’d have to conclude that Alex is just bubbling under the radar ready to suprise a few and win the hearts of listeners in the UK looking for anthemic qualities from their songwriters, akin to David Gray. Within the space of two weeks we had gathered requirements, rapidly produced a wordpress theme and got it tested and live with more than enough content. Everyone was pleased with the outcome. Check out the site at jackmcmanus.co.uk and his new single, Heart Attack is out in early September!

ImgSrc HQ was busy beavering away on a wordpress theme, which included; twitter, flickr, YouTube widgets and facebook connect abilities.

Location photography involved direction of the band members and selection of props and different locations within the areas that we were shooting in. The brief for the artwork was to produce all the elements of the CD packaging, from the logo and cover to the CD surface and the 8 page booklet which would hold the lyrics and other relevant information in the jewel case of the album.

It was a privilege to be given this amount of creative work for the debut album and the results speak for themselves! A great creative collaboration and a great end result!

Following on from the production of artwork for his band work with The Teds, which saw photography and graphic design work for their debut album, You Me and The Sea Between us.

We had a cracking day out finding locations and taking a few atmospheric photos for a promotional poster of the current 2010 tour, which sees Rich play at one of the Midlands biggest folk festivals, the Moseley Folk Festival in Birmingham. Here are a few shots from the day and the poster that emerged from this shoot. Sample some of the photos and the artwork for The Teds debut album over here

I absolutely love live music and not only that, I adore Coventry’s Godiva Festival. It has over the years grown to be one of the Midlands, biggest free music festivals attracting some fairly big names and massive crowds to match. This would have been the fourth visit for me to the festival and I’m always keen to try out new approaches to gig photography at Godiva.

Some of the stand out shots for me were of Tiffany Page, a very dynamic performer on stage, not unlike Gabriella Cilmi. Certainly an enjoyable festival for me both music wise and in terms of the shots I managed to bag too!

The festivals have really only just begun, there’ll be plenty more gig photography action coming before August is finished I’m sure! Love it!

Hi I’m Lee, I’ve been working in the web industry for over 10 years, an excellent all rounder, my aim is to bring your online project together and make it happen. I chose ImgSrc as a brand, because it sums up really everything that I do and is a little geeky wordplay on the HTML tag that puts images into webpages pronounced as “Image Source“. I’m very much of the opinion that time permitting we should just get on and do it and today the speed at which we can do things on the web is phenomenal. My specialities include, PHP, MySQL, Javascript and visual interface design, interaction design, information architecture and accessibility to WCAG standards. I tend to base sites on the popular and well supported free CMS system WordPress, which is becoming far more powerful than just blogging software!

Photography is also a huge part of what is offered here, I love photography and it really has grown out of a hobby into a profession, from commercial to event photography it’s all here, a big part of event photography has been in live music. I’ve experience in radio production professionally as well as non-linear digital video editing, so really there’s an awareness here of the other things that make a great website too from the look and feel to the content and of course the planning!
